Peer Review Process

In the review process, JIEEL involves writers, editors, section editors, and reviewers. JIEEL applies the Double-Blind Review model to maintain confidentiality. Every submitted manuscript is first checked by the editor. If the article meets the focus and scope and the JIEEL writing guidelines, then the document is forwarded to the reviewers to evaluate the content and novelty of the manuscript. Otherwise, the manuscript will be returned to the author. A minimum of 2 reviewers will review each document for approximately 1–2 weeks, with the criteria for assessment stated in the Article Assessment Form for Reviewers. During the pre-review stage, the editor may provide comments and request revisions to ensure compliance with JIEEL standards. If the author does not submit the revisions within 4 weeks, the article will be declined. On average, accepted articles take about 8 weeks from submission to publication.
